What is Verified Caller ID?
Verified Caller ID is a feature that lets you display your personal or business phone number when making outbound calls through a different phone system or platform like TheraSaaS. Instead of your contacts seeing an unfamiliar number from the calling platform, they'll see your actual, verified phone number appear on their caller ID.
Why Use Verified Caller ID?
This feature serves several important purposes:
- Brand Recognition - Your contacts will recognize your familiar number, making them more likely to answer the call rather than ignoring an unknown number.
- Professional Consistency - It maintains consistency across all your communication channels, whether you're calling from your direct line or through a platform service.
- Trust Building - People are more inclined to trust and engage with calls from numbers they recognize, reducing the likelihood of your calls being marked as spam or ignored.
- Return Calls - If someone misses your call and wants to call back, they'll have your actual number rather than a system number that might not directly reach you.
Essentially, verified caller ID bridges the gap between using modern calling platforms for their features and functionality while preserving the personal connection of your established phone number identity.
How to Set up Verified Caller ID
Step 1: Head over Settings -- Phone Numbers & under Add Number section, click on Add Verified CallerID
Step 2: Verify your own phone number as New Caller ID
Enter the phone number you want contacts to see when you call them and then click on Verify Number button
Step 3:
After you click the verify number button, a pop-up window will appear displaying a verification code.
Simultaneously, you'll receive an incoming call on the phone number you're attempting to verify.
During this call, you'll be prompted to input the verification code shown in the pop-up. Make sure to answer the call and enter the provided verification code when requested to complete the process.
After successfully entering the code, your phone number will be verified and will appear listed under the verified caller ID tab.
Step 4: Select your TheraSaaS number you want to use this caller ID for and click on the Edit Configuration option:
Select Use your Verified Number as callerID for the outbound calls option, choose the verified caller number, and save it.
- Once this setting is enabled, you'll be able to use your own phone number as caller ID for making calls.
Note: This option is only available for calls and cannot be applied to SMS.
